Hello, I’m Amanda Milling – MP for Cannock Chase and the new Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party.
I am delighted to serve as your Co-Chairman at this exciting moment for our Party. As we shape our future outside the European Union, our One Nation Conservative Government is committed to delivering on the people’s priorities by providing better hospitals, safer streets and world-class schools.

As Co-Chairman, my role is to build on the fantastic work that is being done at CCHQ, and ensure we continue to be the most effective campaigning force there is. As someone who fought and won a marginal seat in 2015, I know how important it is for activists, the professional and voluntary party to work together to return as many Conservative candidates as possible at every level of government.
We have a series of crucial local, Police and Crime Commissioner and Mayoral elections happening in the months ahead, and we have hit the ground running.

Amanda was first elected as Member of Parliament for Cannock Chase in 2015, and currently serves as Minister without Portfolio and Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party.
Amanda has been an active and tireless campaigner for the Conservative Party since her early 20s, rising through the grassroots of the Party, first as Deputy Association Chairman and later as Councillor and Deputy Group Leader on Rossendale Borough Council, a position she held until she was selected as the candidate for the marginal seat of Cannock Chase in 2015.
Following the election of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister in July 2019, she was appointed Deputy Chief Whip, responsible for helping drive key legislation including the EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill through Parliament. On the 13th of February, she was asked to serve in her current role alongside Ben Elliot as Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party.
Amanda is a strong advocate for a variety of local causes, organisations and charities including the Royal British Legion, the Rotary clubs and the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children to name a few.
She was born in Burton upon Trent and lives in Cannock Chase.
Commenting, Therese Coffey, Secretary of State for the Department of Work and Pensions, said:
“Corbyn’s Pension Tax will see ten million savers facing a huge bill forcing them to delay their retirement for almost three and a half years.
“This is just one of the ways a Corbyn government would hammer hardworking people on top of his plans to hike up taxes by £2,400 a year, as well as the cost of his plan for unlimited immigration and the chaos of 2020 being dominated by two more referendums – one on Brexit and another on Scottish independence.
“Only Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party can get Brexit done with a deal, get parliament working again and turbocharge our economy to unleash Britain’s potential.”
