New analysis has revealed the true threat of Corbyn’s Labour to our country’s schools.
By failing to get Brexit done, and by pursuing policies based upon a hard-left ideology, a Corbyn-led government would mean children are less safe, schools would be put under strain and pupils would have fewer opportunities.
The in-depth report from the Conservative Research Department evaluates the impacts of the following Labour policies:
The report reveals:
Commenting, Gavin Williamson, the Secretary of State for Education said:
“Over the past nine years Conservative-led governments have transformed the quality our schools, so that every child, no matter their background or where they live, gets the best start in life. But a Corbyn-led government would put this all at risk.
“By failing to get Brexit done and pursuing policies based upon a hard-left ideology he would damage our children’s education. This would mean fewer opportunities to get on in life and most worryingly, by removing independent inspections parents would no longer be able to be sure their children would be safe at school.
“Only the Conservative Party will make sure every child has a chance to succeed in life – by increasing school funding as well as improving standards and discipline.”
Commenting, Therese Coffey, Secretary of State for the Department of Work and Pensions, said:
“Corbyn’s Pension Tax will see ten million savers facing a huge bill forcing them to delay their retirement for almost three and a half years.
“This is just one of the ways a Corbyn government would hammer hardworking people on top of his plans to hike up taxes by £2,400 a year, as well as the cost of his plan for unlimited immigration and the chaos of 2020 being dominated by two more referendums – one on Brexit and another on Scottish independence.
“Only Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party can get Brexit done with a deal, get parliament working again and turbocharge our economy to unleash Britain’s potential.”
